8 Weeks - Baby is the size of a Kidney Bean
Today was our first visit to the OB/GYN. They took my blood pressure, weighed me (ugh!), and made me pee in a cup. I guess that was to confirm my pregnancy. Of course it was positive so I think Ricky was finally convinced at that point!
Then we went through a complete medical history of our families as well as ourselves. They tried to determine my due date but because my monthly cycles are not at all regular, they had a hard time pinpointing how far along I was. So they scheduled an ultrasound for the following week that would determine how many weeks pregnant I was.

The most exciting part of the appointment was hearing
the baby's heartbeat. It took the nurse a few minutes
to find out and we only heard it for a few seconds,
but it was so cool to hear it. It was beating strong
at a rate of 160.

Stef I am so excited! And I still can remember that feeling when I heard my kids heartbeats. It is amazing to me still that we are able to do that. God Bless.
